Denise brings nearly twenty years of experience in residential real estate, including the representation of residential buyers and sellers and brokerage administration.
After eight years at Coldwell Banker, Denise moved to Deasy Penner Podley (DPP) in 2013. Working alongside George Penner, DPP’s CEO, Denise supported the day-to-day administration of the firm which in 2022 boasted 200+ sales agents who successfully closed 1300+ transactions with sales in excess of $1.3 billion. In 2020, the firm was named “Most Innovative Brokerage” globally by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.
In 2023, Compass acquired DPP. Together with George, Denise is part of The Penner Team. Denise also supports the development of Compass Architecture + Design, a new division devoted to building awareness, education, and sales of significant architecture properties in the United States, starting with Southern California.
Denise is also the Director of Client Services of plumBid (
www.plumBid.com) a technology start-up company focused on providing a seamless consumer-focused, agent-friendly negotiation platform to provide greater transparency and true market value pricing in real estate.
Prior to real estate, Denise worked in development at the San Diego Museum of Art, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art as well as the School of Architecture at USC.
Denise has a BA in Art History from San Diego State University.
She is involved in her children’s schools and received the Monsignor Parker Service Award at St Philip the Apostle School in Pasadena. She is a former Board Member of Fulcrum Arts. She is currently a member of the Loyola Mother’s Guild at Loyola High School in Los Angeles and is involved in Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena.
